Friends United is a grassroots organization that began as a small group of friends with a mission:
To help fund research to cure juvenile diabetes.
When juvenile diabetes strikes an individual, the entire family is profoundly and forever changed. Keeping diabetes under control is critical to preventing complications in the future, and our primary focus is to ease the everyday routine and help people with diabetes put spontaneity back into their lives.
For more than 10 years, we have been working to raise awareness of diabetes and to inspire the generosity of our neighbors to join in the fight. Our dream is to see a cure for juvenile diabetes - to be able to tell our children, and all those affected by this limiting and life-threatening disease, that they are finally free to live healthy lives.
